2023-2024 Groups & Times
Dance lessons will start on Thursday, September 14, 2023 and continue on Thursday's until the end of our competition season (May), except for Malenkiy and Viter classes which may end after the Spring Showcase (April). We have dance classes available for all skill levels from three years old to and including adults! Unsure about Ukrainian dance? Come try out our first two weeks of classes before committing!
Ukrainian Orthodox Church
5:15 - 5:45 PM Malenkiy (little) - age 3-5
5:45 - 6:30 PM Kazka (fairy tale) - age 6-7
6:30 - 7:45 PM Veselka (rainbow) - age 8-11
7:45 - 8:45 PM Viter (wind) - all ages
Victory Church
5:15 - 6:30 PM Druzi (friends) - age 11-15
6:30 - 7:15 PM Druzi/Tryzub Technique
7:15 - 8:45 PM Tryzub (trident) - age 16-18*
8:45 - 9:45 PM Tropak (brisk allegro dance) - age 18+*
Extra floor time may be requested for solos/duets/etc.
Age categories listed per class are an average or recommended age, placement of dancers will be determined by the instructor and your class time may be adjusted following registration.
*Placement within these groups will be decided upon based on ability, commitment and try-outs. Please see the Troyanda Constitution for further information.
Who is Troyanda?
Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Ensemble was registered in 1981, but has been active as a dance troupe since the 1960’s. Troyanda strives to fulfill its primary goal of providing an opportunity for our young people to express themselves through dance and to develop an appreciation for one of the most beautiful Ukrainian traditions. Under the direction of Stacie Fahlman, Troyanda offers classes to dancers from 3 years old to adults. We enjoy being a vital part of Yorkton's cultural identity!
